DESCRIPTION:On this webinar\, the Technical College System of Georgia’s (TCSG) Office of Adult Education will highlight its systemwide approach to funding\, developing\, and sustaining family literacy programs and Certified Literate Community Programs across the state. The session will explore TCSG’s decades-long commitment to family literacy and its recent partnership with the National Center for Families Learning (NCFL) to integrate state and community efforts into a unified\, comprehensive approach to family literacy. \nRegister Now\nSpeakers: \n \nCarla R. DeBose is a dedicated leader in adult education\, currently serving as the Director of Professional Development and Family Literacy for the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG)\, Office of Adult Education. In this pivotal role\, she spearheads a team focused on providing world class professional development\, technical support\, and new initiative implementation for 30 adult education programs statewide. Additionally\, she serves as the Executive Director of the Certified Literate Community Partners (CLCP)\, where she provides 22 community-based literacy programs with leadership support and technical assistance. Lastly\, she serves as a co-leader of the TCSG Senior Leadership Academy. In this role she provides professional development\, technical support\, and career mentoring and coaching designed to foster career advancement for senior level leaders within TCSG and its 22 affiliated colleges across Georgia. Carla R. DeBose holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and Advertising from Texas Christian University and a Master’s degree in Human Resource and Organizational Development from the University of St. Thomas. Her commitment to education and community empowerment continues to make a profound impact across the State of Georgia. \n  \nRebecca Ellis serves as the Director of Policy and External Partnerships in the Office of Adult Education at the Technical College System of Georgia. In this role\, she leads efforts to strengthen system-wide partnerships and shape policies that better support adult learners across the state. Rebecca has dedicated her career to improving educational outcomes in Georgia. Prior to her current role\, she was the Director of Practice and Support Services at the Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning\, where she led a team focused on enhancing the quality of early learning programs for infants\, toddlers\, and children with disabilities. Rebecca has also held leadership roles within the Technical College System of Georgia’s Office of Adult Education—as Director of Accountability—and at the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement\, where she served as Director of Innovation. She holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master of Social Work from the University of Alabama.
