SUMMARY:National Webinar Series | Learning Together: How an NCFL Partnership Shaped a School\, a Leader\, and a Community
DESCRIPTION:Megan Singh\, the 2024 Toyota Family Teacher of the Year\, will describe how a partnership with the National Center for Families Learning (NCFL) transformed Enlace Academy’s family literacy programming. She will also share how the collaboration supported her professional growth as a novice administrator. The presentation will examine the program’s structure prior to the partnership\, the decision to engage with NCFL\, and the resulting outcomes for families\, educators\, and community stakeholders. It will also highlight how the Toyota Family Teacher of the Year recognition and funding advanced program sustainability\, innovation\, and family-centered literacy practices through strategic partnership. \nREGISTER NOW\nSpeaker: \nMegan Singh is an ML Teacher and family literacy leader at Enlace Academy\, a K–8 charter school in Indianapolis. She holds a Master of Arts in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from IU Indianapolis and is currently pursuing her EdD in Adult and Community Education at Ball State University. Recognized as the 2024 Toyota Family Teacher of the Year\, she also serves as the Representative for Adult and Community Education on the Indiana Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (INTESOL) Board. Megan is dedicated to advancing and contributing to a collaborative network of family literacy practitioners.
