Years of testing children for reading difficulties at Boston Children’s Hospital got Jean Ciborowski Fahey interested in a new approach: instead of fixing literacy problems, why not prevent them?
That idea eventually led Ciborowski Fahey to the maternity ward at South Shore Hospital, where her book, “Make Time for Reading: A Story Guide for Parents of Babies and Young Children” is given to each of the 3,500 mothers who deliver their babies there each year.
