González, PhD, Texas state representative for eastern El Paso County. As a non-profit executive director and state legislator, Rep. González will share the power of breaking silos and practical strategies for implementation.

Speaker: 

State Representative Mary E. González, PhD is in her seventh term representing House District 75, including much of eastern El Paso County. While in office, Dr. González has passed legislation to improve public schools, support agriculture, and become a leader on the state budget. She is Vice Chair of the House Appropriations Committee and sits on the Natural Resource Committee. Rep. González is the Chair of the Board of Latino Legislative Leaders. Rep. González received a presidential appointment to the Board of Directors of the North American Development Bank. Dr. González received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin, her master’s from St. Edward’s University, and her doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction from UT-Austin. Rep. González currently works as Executive Director for MASBA and an adjunct professor at St. Edwards University.
