Camp Wonderopolis Campsite: NYC DYCD

DYCD2The New York City Department of Youth and Community Development (NYC DYCD) has selected Camp Wonderopolis as one of its Cultivating Curiosity Summer in the City 2015 programs again this summer. Starting this week, more than 1,000 kids, ages five to 14—will test out their inner Makers using Camp Wonderopolis online content and Campsite Kits and learn and earn Wonder Cards by exploring camp.wonderopolis.org. NCFL is working with nine DYCD summer program providers at 13 sites (listed below) to engage parents in learning with their kids, too.

CampW15-KitCollage-smThese sites are receiving their Camp Wonderopolis Campsite Kits now, participated in a full-day training in June, and will stay connected with NCFL throughout the summer for additional training and technical assistance support.  To find out more about becoming an official Camp Wonderopolis Campsite and purchasing Campsite Kits, contact Lisa Avetisian at lavetisian@familieslearning.org.
