Celebrate #GEDGradDay on June 15
NCFL views education as a family affair. We see every parent as an asset; every family as a resource; the community as the hub of all possibilities.
By working together, we can help families open doors and create their own learning networks. Today, we’re participating in #GEDGradDay with our friends and partners at GED Testing Service to celebrate the 20 million+ who have attained their GED® since 1942.
Using the hashtag #GEDGradDay, help us encourage and motivate the next generation of students to open doors to better jobs and college programs by earning their GED. Educators, share your student success stories. Students, share why you worked to attain your GED and how it has changed your life.
Each time #GEDGradDay is used on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram, $1 will be donated to support NCFL’s Two-Generation Family Learning efforts. NCFL Family Learning helps parents achieve their educational goals, including GED® attainment and learning the English language. It also empowers them to earn higher paying and more steady jobs. Since 1991, more than two million families in 98 communities across the country have been impacted by NCFL’s family learning programs.
NCFL Family Learning, the newest iteration of the organization’s enduring family literacy model, is currently being used in the following states: Alabama, California, Colorado, Florida, Kentucky, Michigan, Nebraska, Nevada, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Rhode Island, Texas, and Wisconsin.
The GED® test has opened doors to better jobs and college programs for more than 20 million graduates since 1942.
