Funding available for libraries
Are you a library program staff member looking for ways to enhance your summer reading program? Would you like to bolster family engagement at your library? If so, consider applying for funding to implement Camp Wonderopolis in your library this summer.
This year, thanks to the support of Better World Books, NCFL is offering libraries across the U.S. the opportunity to apply for funding to implement Camp Wonderopolis programming. Libraries awarded funding will propose Camp Wonderopolis-inspired Maker activities and booklists for the Camp Wonderopolis website and accompanying materials. Three libraries will be selected to receive a $3,000 grant, training to implement Camp Wonderopolis programming, and Campsite Kits.
Past libraries have used funding to provide meals for families, recruit special guest speakers related to Camp themes, purchase supplies for Campers, and/or embark on Camp-related excursions.
Apply today! The grant application is available here and must be submitted by February 10, 2017. Winning applicants will be notified in March 2017.
