Louisville Trivia & Acronym Bee

Do you think you know the most about your beloved Derby City? Come find out at our Louisville-themed trivia and acronym competition this Thursday, November 20 from 4-7 p.m. at the Frazier History Museum. Candyce Clifft, morning news anchor of WDRB-TV, will emcee the 2014 Louisville Trivia & Acronym Bee (LTAB). Tickets will be available at the door for $25 (includes free food and one drink ticket).

The competition is sponsored by Republic Bank Foundation and will benefit NCFL programs and initiatives.

“Low literacy is still a pressing issue in Kentucky and we need to band together as a community to address these problems,” said Sharon Darling, president and founder of NCFL. “We believe that all families, regardless of socioeconomic background, can be a force of change in improving our education system.”

Funds raised from the event will support the creation of high-quality online and offline resources that simultaneously move adults and children forward and bridge the learning being done in the classroom, at home, online, and in the community.

“Republic Bank Foundation was established to support nonprofits doing outstanding work in the Louisville area and beyond. We’ve been a proud supporter of this event for many years because we believe in the power of family literacy and learning to improve the lives of our city’s children and families,” said Steve Trager, president of the Republic Bank Foundation.
