Parents, kids, and reading & the new administration
There could be good news about families and literacy in the new administration. NCFL was encouraged by yesterday’s statement by President-elect Barack Obama on Meet the Press. Answering anchor Tom Brokaw’s question about cultural activities in the White House, Obama responded, “… ultimately, we want to talk about parents reading to their kids.”
