Planning is well underway for the 2023 Families Learning Conference, to be held Oct. 23-25 in Omaha, Nebraska! We have assembled a robust collection of presentations from among the country’s experts in family learning and we can’t wait to share it with you! The full schedule of presentations will be published later this summer; but for now, here’s a sneak peek of what’s on deck for #NCFL23!
Partners for Rural Impact will explore how a family leadership curriculum can build capacity among staff who serve families in “Welcome to Parent Nation: An Organizational Pilot.”
Gain insights into parents’ perceptions of their children’s education and equip parents with new tools and resources in Learning Heroes’ presentation “Engaging Parents as Learning Heroes.”
Search Institute will draw on strong research and deep experience to highlight the powerful and practical ways that developmental relationships with, within, and among families play essential roles in helping young people and their families not just survive, but thrive in “Easing The Challenges of Mental Health and Trauma in Families Through Strength-Based Relationships.”
The Adult Literacy & Learning Impact Network will highlight how a collective impact initiative aims to improve adult literacy across the country in “ALL IN: Increasing Adult Literacy Nationwide.”
Learn high-impact family engagement strategies from the 2022 Toyota Family Teacher of the Year Ivonne Ortiz. 2022 runner-up Dae Selcer and finalist Analia Wells will also lead sessions!

- We couldn’t be in Omaha without showcasing the strong organizations across the state: Nebraska Department of Education, Nebraska Children and Families Foundation, Nebraska Early Childhood Collaborative, University of Nebraska, and more will all be on-hand to deliver best practices in engaging families.
