Toyota Family Teacher of the Year

For 29 years, NCFL and Toyota Motor North America (Toyota) have partnered to honor extraordinary educators from across the nation who use a strong multigenerational approach to learning and focus on building effective family-school partnerships that support student learning outcomes and school improvement. Since 1997, Toyota Family Teacher of the Year winners, runners-up, and their respective organizations have received $725,000 and funded 56 innovative teacher-led projects.

2025 Nominations Now Open

Honor an exceptional teacher in your life by nominating them for the 2025 Toyota Family Teacher of the Year (TOY). Now in its 29th year, TOY recognizes extraordinary educators who build effective family-school partnerships to support student learning outcomes. This year’s selected educator will receive a $20,000 grant to continue their family learning efforts, and the runner-up will receive $5,000.
